From the Knowledge base… I forget this all the time and try and set TERM to vt100. A flashback to my unix terminal days no doubt.
Within the $DLC/protermcap file there is a special entry for LINUX. When using Linux, you must set TERM=linux prior to starting a Progress client. e.g.:
TERM=linux; export TERM
