My software “Side Project” plan for 2022

SEO and Digital Marketing

This year I’m going to blog about some of the side projects that I’ll be working on.

These tasks will be part of my SEO experiment. I aim to show how to build rank from a baseline of no audience whatsoever.

The SEO experiment will take place on a brand new website built from from scratch. I will however blog about it here on my own personal blog.

Possible Project List

Here are my first ideas of what projects I may embark upon.

  • Umbraco V9 – I’ve started working with Umbraco CMS over the past few weeks, so I’ll dedicate January to creating my own Umbraco website.
  • Nativescript Apps
  • Updating Laravel apps to the latest version
  • WordPress revival
  • More to come…

New Website

I’ve already got a domain called https://walkersoftware.co.uk so I’ll soon startup a WordPress installation on there as the main blogging space.

I’ll be posting videos too, so will link this up to a YouTube channel.

Not quite sure if I should setup new Social Media profiles for it, or link to my own personal ones at the moment, but I’ll figure that as we go.

The aim is to blog at least once per week. This would leave me with at least 52 bog posts throughout the year, and hopefully I’ll be building rank up in those specially chosen subjects.
