Netgear N300 DGND3300 DNS problem

Today I’ve upgraded the Modem/Router we’re using across the house because frankly the old one as rubbish.

I setup our new Netgear N300 DGND3300 (bought from Ebay for £40) and after putting in the ip address 192.168.0.1, changing the admin password, and entering my AOL broadband details the wired machines were up and running.

My Ipod was also using the wireless no problem, but we have 2 laptops which connected but no Internet connection.

I tried to PING the actuall ip address of Google.co.uk and it worked so we had a DNS issue.

To get it working I’ve updated the Network adapter TCP/IP settings (V4) so that they use the DNS settings 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3.

Why would it work on wired connections and not on wireless?
