Yahoo have annouced today that some of their services will be axed due to them paying off over 800 staff.
One of these services is Delicious, the bookmarking site. It’s a good few years ago since I used Delicious. It’s always been an intersting site and well designed, but ultimatley one I only used a handful of times.
With the advent of mobile devices do we really need to store our bookmarks online? My favourite feature of the site for me was seeing what everyone else was bookmarking. Twitter trending has probably killed that.
Interesting that today the top topic is “exporting your bookmarks from delicious”. :o(
